My Silly Life! - BTW umm I mean Thursday!

Okay so you all know I have had my ups and downs lately.  Oh but first I want to thank everyone for sending Sally your good thoughts and wishes.  I love her friendship so much and I hope this is the fix she needs to feel better.  Anyway I have quite a few things to tell you but first let me show you just how back to me I am.  This is my bead tray(s) with everything (well maybe not everything cuz that may just take up a billboard or two) and it will show that I have been busy but completing has been a big issue lately.  There are also a few repairs that need to be made and an inspiration or two just to keep me thinkin. (a little bit of Juls to rev the juices and a little bit of Beth to boost my creativity) *bouncing in my chair trying to remember the actual word to the song*
I left my silly feet in the picture because well that's just me!

As you can see my sweet and fun ADD seems to be back and frankly I missed it!  It can drive me a bit crazy at times but ya know what?  It is the fun of me!  This month is going to be a crazy one so I may only get to post a couple more Reviews but I plan on getting back in touch with my friends and keeping up with your blogs as much as possible.  Here's whats in store for our family in the next few weeks.

4 Field trips with Preschool
Senior Awards night
Senior Bash prep (yes I did join in this and so far have not regretted it)
Fathers Day
Preschool Graduation
Sweet Derek's Birthday
Senior Show and Bash night
My sweet Shelby's Graduation
The Party
Prep for Summer College course.

I know there are probably others and I hope that I don't miss any due to my calendar issues which bit me again this week when I e-mailed Derek's teacher that he was sick and wouldn't make the field trip only to discover that it is not until next week.  DUH!
Here are a few thank yous that are long over due!

Thank you so much for waiting patiently for me to get back to myself and I promise not to let that happen again.
Sally, Dawn, and Juls
Thanks for answering your phones and listening to me in all my craziness.  You girls Rock!
Let me tell you she has warmed my heart with the thought and love she put into helping Shelby with her Senior paper.  Check out her three part interview she did with Shelby!  Words can not express my gratitude!

Oh wow I have talked too much and now I need to hurry up and take a shower!  I hope you all are doing well and I will update you when I can about more craziness that is me.  If you still like me of course!

Hugs and Blessings

BTW and 1 Hour 42 minutes of YAY!

This has to be a super quick post as first the kids are home this week and I have a lot going on.  Although you wouldn't know it as I was on the phone with a super gorgeous friend for 1 hour and 42 minutes!  Yes I can talk for that long and thank Heaven she can too!  If only we lived closer ('course we may not get anything done if we were....thank you inventor of cordless phones!)  The housework got done but as for the bead tray not so much.  I have a try full of inspiration and it is awesome if what is happening in my head really comes out in the pieces.  I will also be reviewing 2 patterns soon so stay tuned.  For now here is my BTW submission....

Yes I am a tease when I can be!  LOL
By the way do you all remember me?  The one who would be able to comment on every post when it posted?  The one who love to e-mail to keep the conversation going?  I am still here but way far behind on your post but I am getting caught up in what ever little time my sweet Derek isn't causing trouble.  I have also been doing some fundraising so that is also cut my computer time very short.  I just wanted to remind you all that I will get to you and if I miss a post it's because I either didn't get a chance to leave a comment when I was there or my eyes are playing tricks on me.  LOL

BTW Under the influence....

I am starting to be able to see the end of this cold and that is sooo good!  I am coming out the NyQuil/DayQuil induced hallucinations and now we are at the stage of coughing up a lung or two every 20 minutes or so.  I wanted to post real quick and then finally catch up on the doings in our neighborhood.  First I want to tell you that I was lucky in March to be able to binge during a mostly bead diet year.  There was an Innovative Bead Expo in Syracuse but after calculating the cost of gas admission and lunch I did not see being able to splurge as I would have hoped sooo I convinced my sweet hubby that he would be better off if I just used that amount and did an on line shop.  He agreed but with only one stipulation that I had to get free shipping, had to get the beads I had been talking about, and more than just small bags of seed beads.  (Wait he is tricky I think that is 3 stipulations...Hummm) I should also tell you that I do not shop at a local bead store any more as they do not give me the warm fuzzies. Ok so I was ready to check out a supplier a friend had recommended and stumbled across Bello Modo.  I couldn't believe the stock of seed beady goodness.  Oh I was so excited because I have been searching for a new drop mix to play with and they had a great new supply of farfalle beads I have been so wanting.  Well hey when shopping you have to indulge a bit right?
I loved shopping there and when I got my package I immediately called to thank them for having not only great pics on the site ( you know that sometimes it doesn't always look like what you thought when you buy online) but everything came packaged so well you almost didn't know there were seed bead goodies in it.  I do have three tubes on back order but I have no problem waiting for them.  Here's the kicker though, when I called she was so surprised that I was calling with a compliment.  I have to tell you I am much more inclined to call someone because I am happy with the product rather than complain.  I know I should let them know when I am disappointed but I never feel good after that so I just don't shop there again.

Now not to say that I don't still absolutely love my Artbeads and so can't wait for my turn at the blogger challenge oh and they are having a bunch of sales too!  I just needed some stuff they didn't carry so I suggest you check both shops out when you can!

Okay so now here is what is on my tray at the moment but I should tell you that I have had to rip the dragon bangle apart as I said before you should not try to bead a new project when under the influence of cold medicines!  The orange one will be a pattern review as soon as I am able to convince my hubby that it is not my fault I ran out of beads.  (Still working on that one)  And the pretty purple is me doing a project that may be "OUT" there for others but I love it!

Oh and one more note!  Go visit Lori @ Out of the Flames and congratulate her on the gorgeous grandson that just came into her family!  You gotta see this cutie!

Hugs and Blessings!

BTW...OOPS its Thursday!

I know, I know its Thursday and this was supposed to be posted on Wednesday!  What can I say meeting deadlines is not one of my strongest qualities.  And before I show my bead table I am going to remind all of you that organization is a necessary evil with my sweet Derek around so "Don't hate me because I am Organized"  is my qualifying statement.

I only have two projects on the tray right know because just before Christmas my sweet hubby was vacuuming and got a little too close to my bead tray and........you guessed it he sucked up an almost completed bracelet!  The problem with that is well you know fireline is strong well apparently it is so strong that it wraps around the brushes and snaps all the beads in half.  I really liked the bracelet and it was my first time using charlottes and now (sighing) they went to bead heaven along with some amazing champagne colored drop beads.

Ok so lets take a look at these projects!  Remember my friend Amy over at Spyder Jewels sent me this magazine for inspiration....

She loves my bracelets and wanted to give me some more inspiration and boy did she!  While flipping through it (and loving all the eyecandy from before I began beading) I came across a Dulcey Heller pattern called "Grommets Galore"  OHHH I so have a funky side and I do love finding cool stuff at the hardware store (see this one) and I did so love her pattern but as I started it I got a creative strike and I went with it.  So here is what I bought at Lowe's and then what I made with them....

I love these!  They are perfect for a little funky touch and yet I do think there is a little elegance to them (but no one ever accused me of being a fashion maven!)  So Carol this is what I did with them!!!  I know I am such a tease but was it worth it?

This is my other project and I had so much fun making the elements but I am having trouble with pulling it all together my way.  Also there is that pesky bead diet to contend with.....

I found this pattern through the Bead Pattern-book blog but how I got there I have no idea!  This pattern is called "Capture" by Mu.  I think it is in french but her diagrams were fantastic!  I just need to find something to spark up the centers.

Well that's it for today!  I hope all is well with everyone and I ask that you keep "Queensland" in your prayers, thoughts or wishes that they will be safe during all this terrible flooding!
