My Bead Table Blog hop

Welcome!!!  This is....

So what is this all about?  Well if this is your first stop I will tell you if not please skip this paragraph!  My sweet friend Lisa formally of Pine Ridge Treasures (thanks a lot blogger) and now of A Grateful Artist thought it would be fun to take stuff from her bead table (which with the amount of participants must be the size of one of those seat 100 guest type tables) and make pretty little packages (yeah they were not little either) for us to purchase (I know I don't get that opportunity very much) for a small fee (which totally explains why I did get to join) and put them with things on our bead table (mine is only 11" by 18" so you know I need all the beads I can get my hands on) and without purchasing anything new (Whew good thing too because it was just after Beadfest so you know I was funds challenged)  Here is what she sent me!

Oh look at all the goodies.  Well I did have several projects that all ready needed completion so they had to wait for a bit.  (That comes from the fact that I am currently on 2 official design teams, a blog team, and well I can't really pass up a challenge so I have 3 of those in the Que already)  I really like the combination of Pinks, purples and greys but I had yet another challenge to overcome.  The beads were not talking to me.  None of them.  It was like they were giving me the silent treatment.  What to do.  Well the only thing I could was to go with my current mood.  I just was feeling well kinda grey.  I do love all the variations of grey and the ceramic ones in this package were just catching my eye every time I looked at them.  And the feel of the glaze was soft and strong.  Then it clicked.  They wanted to be their own piece.  All grey showing the beauty out of the darkness of my mood.

I present Grey Skies....

I need to get a minute to ask Lisa where she got these.  It is like having a soft worry stone around my neck and I totally love wearing it.  Thank you Lisa this is exactly what I needed.  Oh and by the way I want to know how interested anyone is in a little freebie?  I was going have a freebie tutorial on this chain ready for you but for some reason the camera and computer are not chatty with each other.  Let me know if you like the chain and want to know how.  It is a spiral with twins and really super super easy.

  10. I love grey and this is so beautiful. I bet is feels lucsious on, too! I really am in awe of everyone who uses sead beads in their designs (well, other than to just string them like I do!) because their color combos come out so perfect,....this is one pretty necklace!

I'm a big fan of grey (I'm actually wearing it right now in fact!), and this necklace would look perfect with my blouse (hint hint - lol!). Awesome job, my friend!

  15. Kristen - I left you a comment yesterday, but it does not seem to be showing up, so I'll leave another one. Your necklace is very pretty! I really love the seed bead pattern, and would be happy to win it. Maybe it will give me the courage to start using those little tiny beads - lol. I got the porcelain beads at Fire Mountain Gems online. Thanks for being in the hop!

  16. I love monochromatic pieces and think your gray on grays necklace is fantastic.
Yes I'd be very interested in a tutorial on a spiral stitch using twins - to be honest these beads interest me but I've never used them before. This would give me a perfect excuse (er reason) to purchase some. :)
