Ornament Swap Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the.....

This is my first time joining this hop.  The sweet Miss Sally of  The Studio Sublime twisted my arm so hard I was just forced to join in.   LOL  Not really she just posted it so many times I knew she must be telling me something.  I have to also tell you that ornaments have such a special meaning to me.  I, my husband (as a kid) or my kids have made most of the ornaments on our tree.  Each one made with a special meaning or desire that bring out my holiday spirit.  A select few are made by some very close friends past and present that remind me of them when I pull them out.

I was overjoyed to be paired with Sue of Sue Beads for this swap.  Not only because I love her glass and enamel work I have also met her in person and she is one of the wonderful team members of Art Jewelry Elements blog.  Getting to know her is such a pleasure and I hope to cultivate this friendship further.

We exchanges emails with some fun questions and set to work.  I made some tiny little beaded beads and crystals along with a Golem Studio bead I received from Therese.  I was so excited when I finished that I wrapped it up and shipped it that day.......without taking pictures.  DUH!  But I can show you what she sent me nestled within the branches of our tree.

This is one of those special ornaments I will love getting out and finding that special place for.  Thank you so much Sue!!!! And Thank you again Sally for letting me participate.

  3. You are so right - when I decorate my tree (also, mostly handmade or given to me by the special people in my life) - I always take a moment to reflect on the time when I first received it! Sue's ornament is gorgeous - I am one of her biggest fans! Not only her shimmer beads - but the chandelier drop is so elegant! Merry Christmas!

  4. I was pretty sure that was one of Therese's beads she send :-) I love what you sent Sue and the beaded beads you made! Your whole piece is so festive!
I just adore this icicle Sue made! What a winter feel and look. I always am confused about the beauty of winter and what a pain in the butt it is! And ice captures both.
