Time to stitch 3 Blog hop!

Now there is a key word in this challenge that I totally failed!  Time to Stitch!  I have been trying but between my bit of beading ADD and all the challenges of spring I just haven't been able to finish anything.  Here is a look at my tray(s)
Current projects!
Unfinished projects because I ran out of beads!  I sad!

See I told you!  I am still working on a square stitched rope.  I know it was supposed to be a flat stitch but you know I had to change it up a bit.  I will tell you though it is taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r!  I was going to start a flat Cellini  (see changing it up) but I only have three rows and I am not sure I like what it is turning into.

If you didn't get a chance to see it I did work on a russian spiral which is my favorite stitch and made a little tutorial on the Art Jewelry Elements blog yesterday.  I used twins in the one.  I hope you like it.

So please hop over to all the other participants to see what they have created!

Hugs and Blessings

  1. well that is some pretty gorgeous beadwork on your tray there! can't wait to see how you finish these!

  2. You need to pack up that tray right now, and send it to me! Cause I am seriously squealing over that orange, and that pink pendant, and that burgundy/black pendant at the top....!!!!
Love the work in progress, you are the queen of 'switch it up'! Now that I've finished the challenge, I'm going to work on your tute....:)

  3. Your bead tray is full of great beads. I know what you mean about not enough beads - especially when I try a new pattern and I'm usually just a few short! Hope you get time to finish.

  4. Well I still enjoy coming to see what you are up to....just a little it looks like! Have fun with your projects and I will be checking in on your progress!

  5. I'm so stunned by your WIP trays -- they're so beautifully neat and well organized! My working surfaces look like a cat came in and threw a fit...And thank you for the fantastic tutorial on using twins in Russian spiral! That stitch gave me such fits to figure out in the first place that I can't wait to go back and try it again, this time with the extra flair of twins!

  6. Your tutorial is so stinkin' cool! How did you come up with that?! And it sure lit a fire in Therese :-) You are a beading machine, Kristen, and there is nothing but beading goodness here are over at the tutorial blog. Wow! I am always in awe of what you make. Bead On! And thanks for joining!

  7. Hi Kristen,
You have some very pretty projects started I hope you find the time to finish them. Thank you for joining in on round 3 and we hope that you will join us for round 4. Also thank you so much for sharing your Russian Spiral tutorial using twin beads I really enjoyed stitching that one and plan on using it many more times.

  8. I have to ask - did you organize your bead trays of unfinished and current projects, because they are so neat and orderly! My unfinished projects (granted - no bead weaving, just wire-wrapping) are all placed in a ceramic bowl I bought from Jennifer Jangles. I figured if I put them in a beautiful bowl, I can leave them out and call them artwork!

I did see your Russian Spiral tutorial on the Art Jewelry elements blog - if I ever do start to bead weave, it would be with a spiral - it looks fantastic and I especially love the colors of the beads!

  9. My bead trays NEVER look like yours. They are usually a cross between a fury and a tempest. Thanks for pointing me to your beautiful post on AJE and the Russian spiral tutorial. I've been covered up the past few days, and I would not have wanted to miss it!

  10. I'm sure you'll get your pieces finished! Thanks for the Russian spiral with the twins. I'm planning on starting one tonight!

  11. Umm, I'm envious at how organized your bead trays are, mine are always, well more chaotic then organized! :) Both of the sets of stitches we had to choose from are tedious! Keep plugging away, the result will be well worth the time!
(I took a peek at the russian spiral tutorial, I'm going to have to give that a try!)

  12. Oh, I see some very interesting things on your trays. Hope you'll finish them and show them to us. I love your Russian spiral with twins and have to give it a try!!

I so love visitors so please let me know you were here so I don't get lonely! Cyber Hugs!
