OK so it took all of my adult patience to not rip into this box without taking pictures first ( as the inner child would most definitely do!)but I wanted to savor this prize as much as possible to preserve the memory of receiving a true work of art that I CAN WEAR! (Thanks Erin for reminding me to take my time and savor the moments)
This package just so pretty. That's what made me stop and make sure I take this step by step! It is such a beautiful color and the ribbon is such a cool compliment! (I'll probably keep this box in the keepsakes because I am just that mushy)
So I opened it and still it was like another gift. So well protected in the bag! I was so shaking with excitement I had to take a minute (OK not a whole minute)
LOOK LOOK LOOK
It is so much prettier in person! ( If you can believe that! ) The purples are exquisite and the dangle is the perfect compliment! Not only is the focal stunning (Thanks Jennifer by the way I thought I followed you but I didn't and now I can't find you...HELP) the work Lori put into is of such high quality I am in awe! (Don't ever doubt whether or not you are a true artist!) As I have said before the is a treasure to me and words can not express it enough!
I told you I couldn't wait to get it in my 'Hot little hand'
Now here is the next step do I just put it on a simple elegant silver chain or do I attempt to bead a chain? (I am leaning towards the chain because I don't want to cheese this up) And what do I pair it with? Hummm.................Honey!!!!!
Thank You Lori I absolutely love this!!!!!!!
Always Believe
Kristen
Awwww, c'mon - I think it could use just a LITTLE cheese, don't you?

ReplyDeleteOK what do you suggest? Went to your blog again(I forgot to hit the follow button) and you are a funny lady! Thanks so much for visiting!
What a fabulous prize, Kristen! I couldn't think of anyone more deserving of such a lovely gift, and it is obvious that you will treasure this beauty forever :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm keeping my beading simple at the moment, teaming a little beadwork with a little chain...so I would team this gorgeous pendant with a simple sterling chain, to really let it take centre stage :-) B. -xo-
I think I agree too a simple chain would make this beauty take center stage!
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet thanks for stopping by!
Hugs Always!
Kristin.that was so much fun! I had no idea what was in the box so I was right along for the ride while I read your so cute blog! You had me in suspense waiting to see what it was. I had no idea you had won that! By your wonderful reaction I have to say I'm so glad it was you! You really made the fun of the whole giveaway continue just a little longer. Now we will all be waiting anxiously to see what you make of it!
ReplyDeleteI guess i have to go back and do some reading..i didn't realize I had missed so much in the blogs in just a few days.
CONGRATS! :) Such fun! Loving it :)
Thanks I am so glad you had fun reading this! I am still holding on to this and I might (might) post a picture of me wearing it but I'm not sure if I'm quite ready to brave that!
ReplyDeleteLucky you,what a beautiful prize!
ReplyDeleteI agree, hang it from a pretty silver chain and let it shine all on its own. If you make a special beaded strand to put it on you may not be able to take it off and change the look of the piece. A chain usually allows you the option to remove a pendant from one chain and put it on to another one...or to even use a black silk cord.
On those rare occasions when you want addition bling you can always wear a second, beaded strand along with it.
Oh what fun you are going to have with that pretty bauble.
Oh yes so much fun! I am first going to try a simple beaded chain because of the weight of the pendent. I tried a silver chain but all I have is too flimsy to use. Have some silver 15's that might just give me what I am looking for. We'll have to see.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
I'm glad you like it! It's so much prettier in person, isn't it? And Jennifer's blog is http://glassaddictions.blogspot.com/
