Amy at Amybeads has started a cool new challenge called "What's it to Hue".
I have been keeping an eye on this for a while but have been so busy I hadn't had a chance to give it a go. But this time around I thought I just might have a shot at having enough in my stash to really take this one on. Does any one remember what my favorite color is?
I know what you are thinking. Does she really have the colors that meet this challenge? Well this what the challenge pallet...
Do I have what it takes? Hummmmm I don't know for sure!
I thought I would have a jump on this one because of those gorgeous little sparkly wheels but alas I did not have enough of those "limited edition" druk beads! That will teach me never buy just one of anything labeled "limited edition" So what to do?
Hey duh what is the theme of your blog goofy girl? I need to check my closet. I did and guess what? I had a perfect match for another small set of rounds that Juls had sent me (by the way she is having a sale and a giveaway but wait til after this post to go there K?) when she saw them there sparklies and knew I didn't have enough to finish. So okay well this combo can be a bit on the overwhelming side if not done right but I totally think I done right cuz I wore this baby to a party (for kids and moms) and it totally rocked the place!
So without further ado (which I kinda really like to ado) here is my "Hue Me?"
And here it is as a pairing....
Brutal honesty is required in all comments (although I know I don't accept anonymous so I am pretty safe there)
Hugs and Blessings
KK loves ya!
Oh, wow - love it! Absolutely beautiful :) I love how you have paired it with the silver rings. Well done!

WOW! This is adorable! I think you hit just the right combination of colors, not too much or too little of each. The silver rings set it off! I also like your collection of beads you pulled out for this project. Of course, teal/turquoise colors are my favorite. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like the little wheels! And I love the colors too. I would never have thought to pair those together, but you have really rocked the challenge!
ReplyDeleteLove love love it!!!!! Those wheels are so cool, and I love the way you paired them with the silver rings. Thanks for playing along!!
ReplyDeleteWOW! WOW! WOWIE! You sure did nail this one! I love what you made and can't, for the life of me, figure out how you did that! And what was wrong w/ those wheels in the first picture. They are gorgeous, too. Can't figure out how you made those either. El Stupido here! Just mighty impressed with your work (again).
ReplyDeleteHugs,
me
i love it! love the pattern you used and the colors!
ReplyDeleteOMG I love it!!! I simply must have the pattern for those wheels! LOL. Looks awesome!!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! The colours are fantastic, and the design has blown my mind a little! Beautiful work Kristen!
ReplyDeleteNicely done! This is one of my favorite color ways and you made a really nice balance. Wouldn't have considered using the silver rings; they definitely helped to pull the clasp into the design.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great challenge! I wish that I had more time to enter challenges like this or to resurrect the challenge I did last fall with color (but the next one will be somethin else, because I am easily bored!). I love this combo. And I am glad that you persisted. I like the links, but I will be brutally honest, they seem a little lost to me... to pull that same color in, what about wrapping those lings on the inner part with some of those same colors? (I would even do that to the clasp as well!) That would pull it all together nicely! I do love the way the beads swirl, it reminds me of pinwheels!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!
Erin

ReplyDeleteKristen darling... your beadweaving skills never cease to amaze me! You know I'm more pinky purple and less orangy... and yet, this bracelet makes me say GIMME!!!! Love the design!
