What would you pick from these?
Oh I have to tell you that if it was an easy decision then you said you want all of them. That's what I said at first. But since I could only pick one it took a little longer to decide. I was lucky enough to meet Karen of Starry Road Studio in person at Beadfest last year and she is awesome. So are her gorgeous creations but seriously don't you want to just eat these!!!
A few very cool things fell into place when I decided which one I wanted. First with all the generosity, support and love from all my friends I had the perfect beads to match (the little tart I choose just spoke to me I really didn't think of the color) and I new I wanted to try something new. I had a couple of ideas but each one just didn't work the way I wanted but then it finally came to me. Well actually this little cutie told me I was making her do something she didn't want to do. I was going to attempt my first fringe but she just didn't want it.
It seems that we both agreed that simple and fun is what would be best. I mixed up a Russian spiral and a netting stitch to just have a fun texture to it and then this little tart wanted to be the showcase so with the addition of 2 4mm accent pearls this is my
"Sweet Tart"
Oh thank you so much for stopping by and please check out the other creations by these talented people who also got a piece of "Pie"!

Love what you called it, it's perfect. Amazing necklace to go with such a beautiful focal. Just lovely Kristen!
ReplyDeleteGirl, you got the colors spot on! The name is just perfect, and yes, I would like a tute for that rope....:D
ReplyDeleteThats one you have to look at up close! Thought it looked netted, than went back to read... and the brown rounds in t with the pink seed beads really accentuate the clay coming through the glaze on the focal. Wicked cool.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Kristen! I love your bead work - the whole design really rocks!
ReplyDeleteIt's very sweet! The focal did need to be on her own, and I love the color too!
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching! These are amazing colors...and I love the name, too!
ReplyDeleteCute name! And perfect for the design. Your beadwork amazes me...I just don't know how you do it. The colors and texture and design are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe addition of those pearls are a nice finishing touch - this would have been pretty without them, but it looks prettier and more elegant with them. (If a tart can be elegant!!)
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a swirly piece of candy! I love the texture on the rope you made. Very pretty! Enjoy the day. Erin
ReplyDeleteBeautiful as always. I should just buy a "beautiful" stamp to put on all your stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love Sweet Tarts! This is so pretty...I love your bead work!
ReplyDeleteMore awesome beadwork to compliment a fabulous focal Kristen...simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose beads do look good enough to eat - like opening a brand new valentine's box of chocolate bonbons . . . only these remind me more of tiny little cupcakes, complete with sugar cream frosting. You did an amazing job with the necklace beadwork, it looks fabulous.
